How about a BOINC that will run for DOS 5.0?

David: An older version might be able to do this. Why though?

Rom: DOS is a single tasking OS. Doesn't support networking out of the box. Only supports 640k RAM unless a software based memory manager is loaded, even then the applications would have to be coded to make use of an XMS memory manager or an EMM memory manager.

It wouldn't be worth the development costs, people only think it would be because they see it boot fast. We would actually lose overall computational throughput on a machine because memory access requested have to be paged into and out of the conventional memory block in 16kb chunks.
