In case you already had BOINC installed, you will need to uninstall BOINC, then move your data directory to the new place before installing BOINC again with the new path to the data directory.

Use the installer to set up BOINC on a drive different than the default one. You can easily do this when installing BOINC.

In the third screen in the installer, click Advanced.

This opens the installation customization screen, where you can tell where to install the BOINC programs to, as well as the data directory (with all the science files).

In case you already had BOINC installed, you will need to uninstall BOINC, then move your data directory to the new place before installing BOINC again with the new path to the data directory.
