Difference between revisions of "My BOINC refuses to suspend, even though my preferences say it should!"

This usually happens when you have set BOINC Activity to "Run Always". When set to this, BOINC will ignore all preferences that should suspend it in some way, including exclusive CPU and GPU applications, suspend when 'in use' preferences, suspend when on battery and suspend when non-BOINC CPU usage. Snooze (via the BOINC icon) and "Use at most" preferences are not affected.

It can be put back by doing: open Boinc Manager->(Advanced view->)Activity menu->set your run options to "based on preferences".
