I'm Ed Moran, 59, retired in Bellingham, WA after 35 years in San Jose. Returned to WWU to regroove as a tech journalist and, well, now I'm looking for adventure. I'm putting together a beginner's portal/directory site, boinc.info, the project list is live if you'd like to see it.
I am new to mediawiki, so bear with me as learn the ropes.. I'm doing my driver training in the misc section.
What I'm doing:
- creating hyperlinks - open the orig boinc and compare the two entries, copy over links
- test them - a few 404s here and there, mostly old info (yahoo widgets, etc). I'm creating a list and I'll get to it later.
- basic formatting - I'm leaving behind the pages in good enough condition to go live - that way we don't have to come back. It's good not to have to worry about it.
